Choose from Two  Northern Michigan Locations -Sailing from either our Traverse City Base or from our Cheboygan Base you can find secluded anchorages, towering sand dunes,  quaint towns, wineries, outstanding cuisine and a good mix of activities to keep your entire crew interested.

Our Traverse City base offers easy access to the coves and harbor towns of Grand Traverse and Little Traverse Bays, the Manitou Islands, the Sleeping Bear sand dunes, And the Beaver Island Archipelago.  Our Cheboygan base offers easy access to Mackinac Island, the 36 Islands of the Les Cheneaux Archipelago, and is a short jaunt into Canada’s famed North Channel.

Crystal Clear Water  -  Unlike the lower Great Lakes, the water up here is deep (over 600′ in some areas)  and is a dark blue that turns teal green in the shallower areas.  The photos you see on this website are not modified, the water is really that color!

Stunning Shorelines - Thanks to the glaciers carving out the land a long time ago we have many peninsulas, bays and islands.  From our Traverse City base, The shore is lined with beaches, national parks, forests and dotted with quaint little towns.  Cruising into the North Channel you’ll find rugged cliffs, rocky shorelines and great little towns to browse.

Easy Navigation -   Deep water, no tides and very few navigational hazards allows you to have a more relaxed vacation.  Cruising into the North Channel will require more navigation but still, no tides!

Full Service Marinas – In most harbor towns you can plug in dockside and enjoy shore-side bathhouse facilities for easy access to browse the towns and stretch your legs.

Quaint Towns & Serene Anchorages – These are great little towns with boutique shopping, locally owned restaurants and brew pubs, tree lined streets and a real small-town charm.  You can usually find wine tasting within a short walk of the marinas.  Each town also has it’s own unique festival each season complete with parades, fireworks and family fun.  For those looking to get away from it all anchorages abound offering beautiful little coves to hide out “off the grid”.  In Northern Michigan, the bottoms are mostly sand making for secure, worry free anchoring.

Islands & National Parks - Freshwater island-hopping is a popular option.  These are islands with hiking trails, towering sand dunes, villages and unspoiled beauty.  The Sleeping Bear National Park Shoreline was recently voted “The Most Beautiful Place in America” by Good Morning America viewers and is easily accessible from our Traverse City base.

Custom Itineraries – Based on what you tell us you’d like to do.  If you like to anchor out away from the crowds or take in a little night life; we’ll help with where to eat, where to catch a hiking trail, get in a round of golf, rent a bike along the way or anything else to make a most memorable sailing vacation.
