St. Helena Island
This natural harbor on the north side is protected and overlooked by the St. Helena Lighthouse built in 1873 and automated in 1922. In 1986 the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association and local Boy Scout troops started preservations. This is a beautiful place to stop over for an evening and enjoy the splendor of this quiet and quaint island and do some exploring.
