This Fall we’ve been enjoying warm, sunny days unlike anybody around here can remember. It seems like summer has decided it’s not time to leave yet! In the first three weeks of September so far we’ve had average temps in the mid 70’s (with many days mid 80’s) and sun,sun, sun. Not so good for my front lawn but great for sailing! So lets hope this trend continues and get some late sailing in.
The Big Deal; we’ll continue to sail until the boats have to head to Northport for haul-out. So, to get you on the water, we’re offering 20% off our charter rates from now until the “Final Sail Sale”. The “Final Sail Sale” is when the boat is on it’s way to Northport. The “Final Sail” concludes the charter season for the boat which is why it’s only offered one time per boat. If you book the “Final Sail Sale”, you sail the boat to the Northport Marina and we’ll bring your car up to you when you get there. If you charter one day to get to Northport, you’ll get 30% off. If you charter 2 days or more we’ll give you 40% off! And remember, we’ll bring your car up to you in Northport if you take advantage of the “Final Sail Sale”!
So here’s a good plan; drive on up some evening and stay aboard (we’ll leave the light on for you…). Have a good cup of java on a crisp morning hanging out in the cockpit then enjoy the day sailing (or even a few days sailing). In the afternoon head for the dock and get ready for the drive home or better yet, grab a great dinner at one of the fun, local restaurants, and then stay aboard another night and leave in the morning. This time of year we’re flexible!
Northport is a quaint little town about a half-day sail from Traverse City and sailing the bay in October is a beautiful thing. If you had a few days to sail you could stop over in Sutton’s Bay or anchor out among the stunning scenery in Omena and dinghy in to “Knot Just A Bar” for dinner or to “Leelanau Wine Cellars” for wine tasting. Heck, if you had more than a few days the possibilities are endless.
The disclaimer; we’re pretty flexible in the Fall allowing charter dates to change to hopefully get the best weather and we will work with you in this area. Due to limited availability for the “Final Sail Sale” (one “Final Sale” per boat), cancellations will be given a 50% refund. As mentioned, we will work with you to reasonably change dates but will charge 50% of the discounted charter fee for cancellations.
