Extended Cruising

You’re on this web page which means you’ve thought about sailing off to experience the cruising lifestyle. But how do you test the waters without making the commitment of “selling the farm”? There are two yacht designs to experience the cruising lifestyle and two directions you can go; On a cruising catamaran or monohull sailing yacht and choose Island-hopping down the Caribbean or blue water sail from St. Thomas to New England.

“Seabbatical” is a 45’ Leopard Catamaran with weekly or monthly rates. She is available for bareboat charter or captained charter anywhere in the Caribbean and also for a blue-water sailing experience twice a year when delivered between the BVI’s and New England. Rates starting as low as $11,000 for 8 people for a month!

“Gypsy Queen” is a 38’ (41’ LOA) Island Packet. One of the world’s best built ocean going yachts. She is available weekly or monthly for captained charter all the way down the Caribbean island chain. Capt. Bob is a great guy and will let you do as much or as little as you choose while exploring the islands. Rates as low as $3000 for two people for two weeks of cruising!

Capt Dave has personally been aboard these yachts and have met the captains / owners. These are world-class cruising yachts and they’ve been outfitted with back-up systems and safety gear specifically for extended cruising. These aren’t the stripped down versions you typically see in charter fleets. Also, these yachts are represented by a Clearinghouse to ensure quality control and business ethics.
