Bowers Harbor is a protected natural harbor just North of Power Island in West Grand Traverse Bay. The deep harbor provides protection from the north and east. Refuge can be taken on the west side of the bay from south westerly winds. The perfect anchorage to stretch your legs on shore or take in the views of Traverse City to the south. Enjoy the new walking path around the park, have a picnic, play some tennis and let the kids romp on the tall ship play structure. The Boathouse is a great shore side restaurant and a short walk down the road is the Bower’s Harbor Inn, a historic mansion that’s a local favorite for dining.
