Interior Layout

“Mary Kate” is in great condition inside and out.  Interior layout has comfortable and functional floor plan.  The forward V-berth is separated from the main cabin has accommodations for two in a large bunk.  the aft cabin has 4 opening ports for ventilation and a spacious double berth and hanging locker.  The main cabin has a large seating bench to port and a convertible settee to a bunk to starboard.  The galley features a “U” shaped configuration with a double bowl stainless sink, microwave,LPG stove, molded countertops and large refrigeration storage aft.

Deck Layout

“Mary Kate’s” deck layout carries the  beam well aft to create a large and comfortable cockpit.  The coamings are wide with ergonomically correct seats and “rider” seats worked into the stern rail provide an exceptional viewing perch for relaxation.  Most of your time is spent in the cockpit and the 320’ view was designed for this activity.  Running rigging is led aft to the cockpit for safe control while underway.  In 2011 a new “Track Slide” system was installed in the mast track which makes raising the main near effortless.  Also in 2011 a new reefing system was installed utilizing small blocks in the mainsail that greatly reduce friction while reefing and a new cradle cover with “lazy jacks” were installed to catch the mainsail as it comes down.  These improvements combined make “Mary Kate” one of the most enjoyable and hassle-free boats to sail.
